Innovating Tanzania's Water Sector: LAISON Presents Smart Metering Solutions at AWAC 2025

Arusha, Tanzania — The Annual Water Conference & Expo (AWAC 2025) successfully took place from November 24 to 26 at the Arusha Corridor Spring Hotel. The event brought together key stakeholders from Africa and around the world, aiming to accelerate reform in water and sanitation through private sector engagement, investment, and innovation. 

At the event, LAISON attracted significant attention for its cutting-edge smart water metering technology. LAISON showcased a range of practical solutions, including Prepaid and Postpaid solution for both Domestic and Commercial/Industrial, basing on latest IoT technologies includes but not limited to LoRa, LoRaWAN, GPRS, CAT1, NB-IoT etc., as well as an advanced Hardware Data Management System. These reliable solutions significantly improve water management efficiency, enhance billing accuracy, reduce water loss, and increase revenue.

During the exhibition, Tanzania's Minister of Water visited the LAISON booth. After learning about the company's expansion in Africa and its smart water solutions, the Minister expressed recognition of LAISON's innovative technologies. He also showed strong interest in the company's MaaS (Metering-as-a-Service) solution, wishing to explore it further.

In addition to the booth exhibition, LAISON also held a presentation at AWAC 2025, led by Clark Dai, Deputy General Manager of LAISON. He introduced smart metering solutions and shared successful case studies from Zambia, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, and other regions, which received a positive response from the audience.
