YAOUNDÉ, CAMEROON — February 2026 — LAISON successfully participated in the 23rd AfWASA International Congress & Exhibition held from February 9th to 13th. Under the theme "Water and sanitation for all: bold actions for Africa," LAISON demonstrated how smart water solutions can practically support the sustainable development of the African water sector.
At the LAISON booth, a variety of smart water meters were showcased, including multi-jet/volumetric smart meters, ultrasonic smart meters, electromagnetic flowmeters, etc., compatible with various communication wa such as LoRa, LoRaWAN, GPRS, CAT.1, NB-IoT, and Sigfox. Covering a wide diameter range from DN15 to DN1200, the product lineup is designed to suit diverse project requirements and application scenarios. These solutions not only enable water utilities to achieve accurate metering and remote data collection but also directly addresses their urgent needs in cash flow recovery, operational efficiency improvement, and non-revenue water (NRW) reduction.

As the highlight of the LAISON exhibition, LAISON team successfully launched the White Paper on "Metering as a Service (MaaS)". LAISON introduced how MaaS integrates technology, financing, and services to achieve a shift from "Product/Tool Delivery" to "Result/Value Delivery". It presents a comprehensive service model for integrated metering and billing management, encompassing hardware, software, communication, data, O&M, and financing, providing utilities with a sustainable and scalable pathway toward digital transformation.

With the cutting-edge smart water meters and MaaS solution, the LAISON booth drew a steady stream of industry experts and delegates and received widespread recognition and high praise. Moreover, LAISON team held high-level meetings with AfWASA leadership and executive delegations from various national water utilities across Africa. These discussions centered on localized project cooperation and operational strategies to address the critical challenges of water utilities.
Through the participation in the AfWASA Congress 2026, LAISON has once again demonstrated its commitment and strength in the African market. Moving forward, LAISON will remain focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology, collaborating with partners across Africa to support the water sector with smarter, more efficient digital solutions, paving the way for a more sustainable, green future.
