Laison, a leading smart water meter company, successfully exhibited its latest innovations at the AfWASA International Congress & Exhibition (AfWASA ICE) held in Kampala, Uganda, from February 16-20, 2025. The event, organized by the African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA), brought together water professionals from across Africa, providing a platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies aimed at improving water management and sanitation.
At the exhibition, Laison presented its advanced smart water metering solutions designed for both domestic and commercial/industrial applications. These include Domestic Smart Water Meters in multi-jet and ultrasonic types, as well as Commercial/Industrial Smart Water Meters in electromagnetic and ultrasonic types. In addition, Laison introduced the IoT Meter Interface Unit (MIU) for retrofitting mechanical meters into smart meters.
Laison's comprehensive suite of solutions also featured a robust Hardware & Data Management System (HDMS), designed to help utilities achieve smart management and improve operational efficiency. The HDMS enables functionalities such as LAPIS Revenue System, iOSent Meter Reading System, AquaTEC Leakage Management System, etc, empowering utilities to reduce non-revenue water (NRW) and enhance revenue collection.
During the exhibition, Laison engaged with numerous water utility representatives from various African countries, fostering discussions about their specific needs and exploring potential collaborations.
