From April 18 to 22, 2025, a high-level delegation from the African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) visited China, aimed at gaining deep insights into the country's advanced water technologies and industry practices. Fully coordinated by LAISON, the visit facilitated several significant cooperative achievements, injecting new momentum into China-Africa cooperation in the water sector.
Attending CUWA Annual Conference and Signing Strategic MoU
The AfWASA delegation began their visit to China by attending the Annual Conference of the China Urban Water Association (CUWA). Guided by LAISON, they toured the water industry exhibition, focusing on China's latest innovations like Water Leakage Detection, Pumping systems, Metering technology, and Smart Water Plant solutions etc.
During the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AfWASA and CUWA was signed which will enhance cooperation in water infrastructure and management, promoting shared growth and innovation in the sector.
Conducting Field Visits to Smart Water Projects and Strengthening Technical Exchange
To gain deeper insights into China's advanced experience in the water sector, the AfWASA delegation, accompanied by LAISON, conducted field visits to several key enterprises across the water supply chain.
During the visits, the delegation praised the systematic and intelligent features of China's water technologies and held productive discussions on how these solutions could be adapted to Africa's needs.
Visiting LAISON's Factory and Gaining Comprehensive Insights into Core Solutions
At LAISON's factory, the AfWASA delegation visited the product exhibition area, testing platforms, and modern production lines, gaining a full understanding of LAISON's integrated solutions across the entire water supply, distribution, metering, and monitoring process.

Finally, LAISON and AfWASA officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
